LXWREY is an artist born and raised in Naples, Florida who pulls from the earliest place creativity lives: the kids table, where core memories are formed before we knew what they were. Through intentionally childish drawings and raw, playful imagery, LXWREY recreates the feeling of sitting on the floor with crayons, creating without rules, pressure, or an audience. The work is meant to feel familiar, triggering nostalgia and that quiet recognition of who you were before the world told you who to be.

The name LXWREY comes from the artist’s childhood Xbox gamer tag, inspired by Mike Lowrey, Will Smith’s character in the Bad Boys movies. Growing up, Bad Boys 2 was one of his favorite films, and his friends started calling him “Lowrey,” a nickname that naturally carried over into his creative identity. Before painting, LXWREY spent 10 years working as a chef. Those experiences now inhabit the artwork, touching on the underbelly of the culinary industry and fine dining.
